I heard that a US Express team was really lazy and took almost 42 hours to get from Orange County to Louisville. There was a legendary ODFL team that whooped their behinds and didn't take any naps at all.
That's just what I heard -

God dam right I took 42 hours. You better believe when I'm deadheading 2100 miles I'm gonna take as many naps as I dam well please
Besides you're just jealous that you didn't catch up with us on i40
Better luck next time slow pokeblairandgretchen Thanks this. -
We are extremely happy with usxpress, and our paychecks are more than double what we were making at WS.

young whippersnappers are full of pee and vinegar. Just wait till you reach our ripe old ages.
Have fun at home - good work this week, work your magic on that California end of the turn and you'll have more time at the house to cause hate and discontent on here!TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Do not go to Watkins and Shepard if you want to team. You will be used until you decide enough is enough.

Good luck getting dispatched or even in contact with anyone out of conover after thursday around 3-4pm!!!! On your own till some point on monday..... lol!!!!!! Life is to short for that!!! I get paid for every second I'm doing anything truck related... including sleeping in it. #### mileage pay and #### working for free. Come to work oilfield and get what you deserve!!! Six figures straight out of driving school.

I was lucky because at the time I didn't really have any bills and had plenty of money in the bank and so basically used them purely as a learning experience and as an excuse to see the country and work some wanderlust out of my system. ("No load? Fine! I'll be busy partying in Dallas for the weekend!")
Didn't expect to make a lot of money and definitely felt bad for the guys who were there in orientation who I knew were under the gun to go out and make money to support a family at home. Trucking is just a rough industry to get started in like that and that's why the turnover is so goddawful high.
I talked my way into doing furniture delivery loads out of Sayerville after 3 months where the money was better and the rules were looser (fuel wherever you want, drive whatever route you want, never had to pay attention to the Qualcomm again, just get the job done...liked that). It was okay for a few months but just got burnt out on the randomness...always driving around lost to some new place you've never been. Totally got myself into a few driving situation pickles trying to get a 70' truck into some places where it shouldn't have been and know exactly what the OP is talking about there. That's what happens when you're dealing with a bottom feeder/cheap freight hauler company. They put you in bad situations and they don't care. You either tough it out or have it "up to here" and leave. -
