Our new 2015 Volvo is sick, in Volvo hospital

I spent 2 years there. Might be going back. My Volvo drove like a cadillac, and rarely had a problem, but I did not try to beat the hell out ot it either. Every time I had a problem, I just went and got it fixed, no questions asked. That's why you do a pre and post trip. Things break. You can't be shy about reporting problems. Out here where I live, all the trucks are garbage and the companies don't fix ####. I tried an ag company that sent me out in a truck with 3 bald tires even though they knew about it. I bailed. You would never get that with WS.

 

When was that? They have hundreds of brand new ones now. No more ABS lights, etc...

 

Yes... the shop answers quickly too. The new Volvo are bad. It's true... Watkins got screwed... tons of the leased trucks are loosing 7th gear. Volvo is backed up replacing the transmitions. They are having to send the broken ones back to Germany to be repaired. It's bad news. Be careful. I don't know why they don't replace the trailers. They have cost the company a lot. Customers, tickets, drivers. People are bailing. Please believe me... I had to leave. I didnt want to but it got too bad. I have to eat man.

 

I left 2 months ago due to too many live loads/unloads/broker loads and too many 8000 mile months. Not good enough for OTR, or so I thought. Most places I have checked out are much worse.

 

I don't understand how you guys stand up for this carp company. You've all admitted the pay is garbage and you have to be lucky to get decent equipment. OTR jobs aren't hard to find, do better.

 

the pay has been increased as of sept 1. its a decent raise for me...
