Teaming at Watkins & Shepard ... BEWARE

The "Free" in Freedom is what you will be working for.

 

10-4, 10 day orientation in NC was well done. I wish the rest would have matched that phase.

 

I did very well with Watkins when I got a dedicated route to Canada. As an otr driver I did not do well at all. When I switched to running flatbed I went broke pretty quick. I moved on to system transport and from there bought my own truck and now pull a bull rack. I used to recomend Watkins to new drivers. I do not anymore. I've had too many freinds go broke there

 

Just a drop and hook they said.....Spent 2 hours attempting to move the tandems before the drop; then another 5 hours sitting getting the hook repaired.

 

At Watkins & Shepard their trailers may be junk but you got plenty of Free-Dom.

 

Thank you all for your candid information! My teammate and I had planned to go to orientation in Missoula, Montana on the 12th of this month! I think you guys have definitely steered us clear! Onward to do more research!

 

I've been in orientation for three out of four days now and I have a really bad feeling this is not the company I was looking for.

 

But but but......their offering Triple Freedom and when they assign you your truck they give you a free copy of the world famous W&S Recipe book.

My favorite recipes

Tomato Soup: Ketchup packets + hot water.

SausageFest: Stuff as many truck stop hot dogs into a 44oz cup. Now you got dinner for a whole week for the price of a fountain drink.
