William Wallace Freedom. W&S doesn't have much to offer drivers but they do have plenty of Freedom.

 

Who cares? All I need is a busted truck, lots of freedom and I'm good.

 

Road Hammer, check out the older threads on this company. Then you'll know that W&L only redeeming quality is their world famous Freedom.

 

Also, they let you get a fuel card at pilot. Every other fill up, you'll have enough points for a free hotdog. This free hotdog will be very important if you work at Watkens and Shepard, so make sure you remember! Also, they don't always check if you put 2 in 1 bun, and it helps if you cover it with the free toppings.

 

I work for W/S but stay out West, so I don't know how the Home Depot runs are in the East. I do like the ones out West. They're drop & hook, the load is usually ready on time, and you're in and out pretty quickly.

The equipment is getting better all the time, most of the fleet is new Volvo automatics. They also just bought 100 new Freightliner automatics. The trailers are much better than they used to be, they bought 300 new ones a couple years ago. They're starting to install trailer tails.

I've been here 4 years and am very happy, but I know some people who have had bad experiences. But much of that is related to furniture delivery - sometimes we deliver in very tight places, it can be stressful. But if you're running Home Depot dedicated, that wouldn't be an issue. I've heard some people complain about miles. I don't disbelieve them, I can only tell you I get plenty of miles.
