    I was sent a letter by werner so I called them. For some reason I felt like I was speaking to a telemarketer. What was more alarming to me is the fact that they were more interested in getting me into on of thier schools and under contract than giving pay details. I interupted him and asked about milage and he tried to quickly mention 28 cents a mile as he then mentioned raises etc. So be informed people 28 cpm is starting milage for werner.

    they want you in their school so they own you for some time, or you pay them back for the school. an the recuters will tell you anything to get you in the door.

    As a former employee, the whole company is like this. If you call ANYONE, they talk to you like a robot. And they really dont act like they really dont care for truckers.

    Their dedicated people are more driver friendly.....

    But if you wanna work for Werner, they are not pleasant to talk to. But if you do your job, you really dont have to talk to anybody....
