I got my CDL from a school in my state. I applied with Werner and they told me I need 160 hours of training from a school before I could get hired. WTF? I thought Werner trains new drivers. I thought they had a training program.
160 hours of training required?

Do you have you CDL? Cause there training is to help you become a company driver it's not to help you get your cdl

Yes, I got my CDL from a school in my state. It was expensive. But if I got it though an OTR company such as Swift in Arizona (much cheaper), would I be issued a CDL in from state? Massachusetts only lets you convert an out of state CDL if you have 2 years of driving experience.

I would think you would get your CDL issued from your home state but as long as you can drive interstate than it doesnt matter where your from but search your options before chosing werner im only saying that cause i went with them out of school and it was a mistake but do your research and good luck wherever you go

I did my orientation but after that they left me and my friend hanging in the motel and didnt communicate with us about trainers at all so we both left and went home it was pretty disappointing how a company would treat you like that but im going with watkins and shepard on the 29th but that was just my experience
