I have been placed on it as a temp till some time in July. I was possibly and have been thinking about going to it full time. I do live in Wi. I was just wondering if u could give me any feed back about the account. IE- What there home time policy, miles per week, CPM, stop pay, lots of sitting around or they keep u movin. And any other stuff u can think of would b great. Thanks in advance

I would really like to know about it to. Thinking on joining werner.

Im not on that account but I run up by there a couple of times a week and I've talked to plenty of the drivers on that account. I know that they get you by the house weekly for your 34 hr reset at least if your in the area I'm sure you could work out a 10 hr break now and then but i also know that your 34 is not necessarily going to be a weekend it could be anytime. There are other accounts that will give you weekends. Now for the bad about Werner orientation and training SUCKS, the pay is not the best but it is about the same as all other training companies if you can make it thru training and get a few months on a ded. account you can make a decent living.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if they are out of Tomah wi. I just don't want to be to far from my house and have to drive 3 hours away from home to get to work.

Yes Werner has the Tomah dc in WI they also have a Target dc down west of Milwaukee there are a few other ded fleets that have WI drivers. I think they have a sign on bonus for Tomah. I dont know what your situation is (ie new student, exp. driver or what) but dont listen to the recruters they will try to steer you towards the family dollar in IA I myself would try to stay as far away from that account as possible lots of tight spots and having to unload trls is not something I would do starting out.

Okay thanks and I am a new graduate soon just trying to get stuff figured out. I live about 40 mins from tomah .

the paperwork is what sucks. they print you off a dam book for every stop.
aside from that you should be ok.
look into a budweiser dedicated account. pays .33 cpm, out 5 home weekends. very little paperwork, guaranteed $800 a week. -
Call Werner switchboard in Omaha,,asked to transferred to Werner Walmart/Tomah. Direct your questions to the manager. They could snswer your question.
My wife and I were on a 3M account out of Dekalb,Il. We each drove solo then teamed the last years before I had to retire. Lots of great miles, HazMat a must, might have to pull an occasional tanker. Lots of stops in Wi. Check it out...
after I had to retire for health reasons,,my wife was lured into Anheiser Busch St.Louis...piss poor management,,,drive all over looking for mt 's. ( they had trailers full of empty kegs just using them for storage..
Show up for your 10am appointment,,load not ready till 3pm or ? Refused to call or keep drivers updated,,,Werner manager on site,,,but was never allowed to talk to him ,,,unless he needed a load re powered before you were to go home,,,,, it's truckin,,, -
Anyone on bud Weiser account with some information.
