The recruiter asked me "have you EVER been arrested?"
I had a misd. arrest for possession (roach) in 1979 (32 yrs ago)

I don't remember if I was even convicted, I went to a drug intervention thing that was ,I believe, going to keep it off my record...

Anyway, when I answered "yes" the recruiter seemed to get cool about my possibilities...I could sorta sense that they may not let me into orientation now. He said they will have to "review" it...

I was thinking of answering "no" to the question, but I keep hearing about guys being sent home for lying on their app at orientation.

My record since then has been squeaky clean--no arrests, clean driving record, no accidents, 24 yrs driving box trucks for post office w/no problem...

I felt I was stuck when he asked: "have you EVER been arrested?",
instead of "have you been arrested in the last 10 years?"

Can Werner possibly be that EXACTING?

Everyone driving for them is a SAINT?

Or did I just screw up by answering truthfully?

The reason Werner asked is because they go to Canada.....any company that goes into Canada is being uber picky these days......your past incident is really laughable in the grand scheme of things but with so many people out of work and looking at truck driving as some sort of cash cow...well they have it wrong. In order to make good money in this field you have to pay your dues for a couple years, or until you learn how the game is played .......He used his words carefully and you answered honestly...if Werner says no move on to the next company....good luck

Hey nik is that a Gibson SG? I can't really make it out in the pic.

I have me a real nice Les Paul anniversary model, gold hardware, locking nut, dive-bombing whammy (not like those old Bigsby things)

You have to lie.Have you ever used street drugs -no been arrested-no.If you have no criminal record the won't know unless you tell them.My brother-in-law says the Army is the same, just say no, so you don't get flagged the next time.
