Look it up on their website, or call them.

Granted newbies have to start somewhere, but Werner is not much of a place to start.

Unless Werner has changed since I drove for them, they do not offer a cdl program.

Werner does not currently offer CDL training,

you really need to look into a private school, try getting a personal loan, or student loan,
I was laid off from a manufacturing job 4 years ago, and used the WIA act ( workforce investment act) through a careerlink state run facility to get my CDL,

if you cant get your CDL on your own for whatever reason, IE don't know anyone who has a CDL ( renting a truck, money to fuel it to get your roadtime ETC)

If your absolute last chance, like my friends was to go through CR england, please be as patient as you can and deal with the crap , get your 1 year and jump ship, they take complete advantage of yourself, but if you can dedicate yourself to 1 year of bettering yourself and stay clean, you can go pretty much anywhere,

I cant stress anymore how much I hate telling you to go to CR England to get your CDL but its an option,
( Cr England currently requires 9 months of service otherwise you will owe for the schooling just an FYI)

Werner does offer CDL sponsored training. I don't know if they offer it at any of their terminals or their own sites but I do know that Werner has partnered with private schools for training. Here in Phoenix Werner uses the AIT school. As someone else has already mentioned I would look into the WIA grant to pay for your school and then you aren't tied into any one company after you have your CDL.

I know that this doesnt answer your question, but if Werner doesnt offer what you are looking for check out Stevens. They provide an excellent school and training program. But as was said about CRE, get a year in then move on to a better company. As far as I am concerned this piece of advice goes for any starter company.

Yes they do. There was a school next door to the orientation room at the Fontana terminal when i was there in 2011. I believe it was a private school that was partnered with Werner.

werner partners with schools. they aren't a bad company to start with. get on a dedicated account with them though don't run 48 state otr with them. though I would do as suggested try to get your cdl through a private school on your own or WIA.

Get training at cr England. Jump ship immediately after you have your license and go to Werner. They pay your loan off out of their own pocket. They are 1000% better then CRE and got me on a dedicated account after 1 month
