Tkpinsc, I set up orientation today. They said that best but was still open but I asked them about other accounts too because I don't think best but will be open still. I forget the name of the other account, started with a M? (Completely slipped my mind). I don't mind going OTR, just long as they know I'm wanting a dedicated account. I'll call every week and ask about the account if I have too. My dad's been dealing with these big companies for about 16 years, I'm kinda ready for the BS that's going to come up. I feel a lot of drivers go in not knowing just exactly what they are getting into. I'm so excited to start.
Going to Werner.

I thought you was talking about US Xpress lol depends on the DG account. I believe US Xpress pays the highest for that account, idk, wouldn't really be able to help with that, sorry.

Good question. Usually you will sent far away. When I lived in California, I was delivering in North Carolina, And never got much hometime. (which didn't bother me that much, because I'm single). I delivered Dreyers Ice Cream from Bakersfield to Sparks NV, Dallas, and Houston TX allot. I ran over 3000 miles per week. Then there are those times that you may be stuck in San Antonio for 3 days waiting for a load. just as an example. That's trucking-just the way it is. I believe the only time you can pick and choose your loads is as an owner operator-then maybe not so sure about that. If you were told you would make 50K a year, you will be far away, is my guess.

to be honest with you, Werner wasn't bad for me when i was with them. my dispatcher was good, he had me running 3000 miles a week, and i was being paid .28 cpm, i chose to stay out longer so i could pay off my bills faster. after that i was home about every 2 weeks and still made consecutive miles and pay. its going to be interesting at first but have fun!
lovetodrive365 Thanks this.
