It doesn't really matter what company you goto really, the things that each of us have on our own lists helps makes the decision of where we go. Then once we get to where we are going, it's the dispatchers and support that one has behind them that ultimately either helps the decision to stay or move on.
i would take a cheaper pay for good hometime and a good support system, but when one finds that whichever company one chooses tries to get as much free work out of one, short miles, etc....then that would be the time to rethink the situation and figure out if moving on and starting over is worth it.
this is one thing about trucking that makes everyone be on the same playing field, as soon as you leave one company to goto another you always start back at the bottom and have to fight your way to the top. So driving jobs may be a dime a dozen, but the starting over part is about the biggest hang up one needs to overcome and sometimes it may be worth it and other times it just best to suck it up.
to each his/her own as you and your family will be ultimately the ones who will have to live with the decisions you make, there is good and bad in all companies but it's up to you on how well you can make it work or not.
