    Ok so here goes nothing.
In my attempt to get back in the swing I'm going to orientation. I'm sitting at the terminal here in downtown new haven waiting on the Greyhound.
I'm gunna a make the best of it. I'm excited yet sad to leave the wife and kids but it's for the best and I just have to keep reminding myself of that.
I'll post more updates once I get there and start.
    Toddler.

You'll do great, I am sure of it. Anything worth doing always comes with sacrifice. The feeling you'll have after successfully attaining your goal will be awesome. Keep the faith, man.

Yep...sometimes to get to where you you want to be, you have to sacrifice a bit but it's all worth it in the end...

    so just an update:
very busy day and a weird one at that. so heres what happened.
first off, im a moron. i mistook be at the greyhound terminal for the 12:10pm bus as 12:10pm at NIGHT so heres my ####### in downtown new haven with the cracks and hookers coming up on 1:00am wondering where the fing bus is.....i get all mad and take a cab home.
my wife looks at the confirmation and shes like you dummy, u were supposed to be there at 12:10 in the afternoon!!!
so, being on the east coast i had to wait till they opened to call my recruiter and explain the situation, no big deal they said i can just take a bus tomorrow.

so, since i had a day to kill i figured i would go around and fill out some apps and see what happens, just for heck of it.
i walked into this place to see if they were hireing and as luck would have it they were.
took a road test and for being out of a tractor trailer for like 10 years boy oh boy i still got it.
they were very impressed and offered me the job on the spot.
10 minutes away from my house driving chromed out pete 379's hauling bulk concrete with the silo's.
pays a percentage of the load plus .30 when u cross the connecticut border plus misc bonuses. drivers earn 1200+ a week.
small company with 18 trucks and they take incredible care of them.
ill end up starting a new post with my experience and adventures.
i start tomorrow with a trainer for a week to teach me how to use the silo trailer. PUMPED!!!

Thanks!! This company seems pretty good. I'm hauling bulk cement, limestone, fly ash and the like in those silo trailers. The amount of work they have is incredible. Don't get me wrong, they run us. I mean they use all of our legal run time. And 14 hour days are long as hell. But I'm happy to do it. The trucks are meticulously maintained and the owner spares no expense at all and there's no shortage of work.
I'm gunna start a new thread so the topic don't confuse folks.
Man I'm so happy. I wish people here were from the area. Theirs jobs to be had!

    Puppage Thanks this.
