I'm considering going to Werner because of the different opportunities they offer new graduates. I live in NC near Burlington;
How is Werner about home time & starting cpm for new drivers
How long do training last?
What accounts are usually offered in NC such as dedicated & regional other than dollar general
insight please, other than a recruiter
Werner Info needed please

Cool what are good companies to start at? Living in Nc

Have you looked into Millis or Schneider Tanker? Stevens has a good training program but they want you out weeks at a time.
-
now i am on Budweiser dedicated, make $900 every week guaranteed. weekends off except for working a half day every other Saturday.
call driver placement and ask about dedicated accounts in your area! dont go with dollar general, dollar tree, or family dollar...stay clear of those. Staples, Home Depot, Menards, Kelloggs, Anheuser-Busch, Wal-Mart (that is a really good run!).
my training was 7 weeks long. 275 hours req'd. they will try to get you off the truck early...dont do it! get your full 275 in and worry about training first. -
Do werner hire new drivers into dedicated accounts? Do you know if those accounts are offered in NC
-
I leave Tuesday for orientation in Omaha, just graduated school, and will be going on the Walmart dedicated out of Tomah, WI. I am out of Minnesota so not sure in your area, but they will put you on dedicated starting at 35cpm
