Just a heads up - you may be going to small country towns, like where I live, and be faced with tight loading situations, and uncleared roadways - regarless of how the interstates look.

This guy had a wrecker coming, not sure who had to pay -

Dollar Generals tend to be spread out through a wide range of areas - cities to rural towns.

Poor kid - felt sorry for him - yes I did stop to ask if he was allright.

    Cheers, B. IMG_20150304_114853_098[1].jpg

Common sense goes a long way, sometimes you have to do the unfavorable thing and say hey I'm gonna be late the roads are too bad.... Word thing that happens is they kick ya off the account. Just my opinion though.

I was on a DG truck for my training. No lift gates or roll offs then..floor loads and roller boards.didnt care for it then but it's where I learned to back in off a skinny road, around dumpsters to a 36" door..oh yea,,customers coming and going too..that experience paid off many times..good luck.

I would of slapped chains on and tried to drive out and pulled my chain out lookin for someone to give me a tug...
I had a guy test his dodge out on winter pulling me out a snow bank!
    It worked...HAHA
He was so PROUD ! And I was so grateful he had a case of beer in his truck when he left and a new company ball cap from my work.

I Carry tires chains and tow chains for a reason.....
    Cause sht happens.

    Poor guy.

Yes, they DO count it as a preventable. The trucks in front of us were blown over while we were in Wyoming and my teammate saved our truck and the load by letting the wind blow us into the snow instead of fight it and get rolled over. He got written up FOR SAVING THE TRUCK FROM A ROLLOVER LIKE ALL THE OTHER and he was suspended for two weeks.

Really. And they told him he should start looking for a new job. And he should have, but he stayed. Thats a good employee for you, not so good safety personnel.

This comes after I personally experienced some outright bizarre run ins with safety, accusing me of things that were impossible and they would have known if they had reviewed any of the information in the slightest bit to see if they information was in fact even physically possible.

My favorite example is when I was still in training. My trainer got a call and one of the women started accusing him of being in an accident in New York. He was dedicated to an account in ALABAMA and had never even been to the state of New York. Even when he told her that, she continued to accuse him. It was ridiculous.

Hopefully he only has one preventable.
