Re: taking the time off, was considered to be a leave of absence and was due to illness in my family. And, if I need to take the time again, I'll do it again.

My first trainer didn't believe in letting his students use a GPS so we did things the hard way. Got it done but under a bit more stress than if he'd used one.
Second trainer didn't use it exclusively. He mapped things out and used it. They do make mistakes which we found out. We fondly called her "Emily" (sorry SD, the name is so fitting we had to steal it)
I'm experiencing all the things that you put in your post. Miami is a real treat no matter what time of day it is. I had that pleasure just the other day.
As far as the Thanksgiving dinner, it beats a blank. I wonder how many other carriers are doing that?
Love the comment about being an adult LOL
    Take care

Werner sent a recruiter to our class last night, it was laughable to say to say the least. He was robotic, you could clearly tell he'd given this speech a thousand times over. But the one thing that really worked my nerves, is the way he spoke to us. He pretty much insulted all of our intelligence by acting as if we were retarded or living under a rock for the last 20 years.

He started explaining Werners "tech nol ogies" (yea, he broke it down like that) and how "tech nol ogies" have helped Werner become #1 in the industry. I've done enough reading here and a few other places to know Werner wasn't a good fit for me, but he sealed the deal last night.
