Hey folks sorry for the delay. This is my first week back from coming off of a week long hometime (trust me it was well earned, not given). Spent the first three days of the week stranded at the shop, had to get a PM on the truck (which was overdue) and due to a botch up in the dispatch department (surprise, surprise). Finally left out on Wednesday afternoon headed to Bridgeport PA with steel pipes with a stop off in Emporia, VA, only to arrive at the stop off on Thursday and receive a surprise drug test. Whoopie!!! So needless to say, the first four days were a bust. My dispatcher was cool though and made up for it with a nice run to Tampa, FL with some car parts from Reading, PA. So overall I ran 2,100 miles loaded and 400 miles empty, not bad for a weak start to the week. Last week, I completed my probationary period and received a completion bonus on my paycheck, that was nice surprise because I sure did forget all about it. To do a nice recap I've been running hard thus far, and getting home when I requested it, still have a good relationship with my dispatcher and my equipment is running great! I am a happy camper.

Hey Busy was there any stress test? When you were with the trainer did you drive as a team or solo? Thanks for the update and keep up the good work.
-
Hey MD, if you mean by stress test, a flatbed agility exam then yes. If you are referring to the physical then no. The flatbed agility test is actually quite simple, just throw a strap over a 53' van to simulate the highest legal load center on a flatbed. Lifting a tarp onto a trailer, and being able to chain correctly with the correct amount of tension. Lastly, when I was with my trainer we drove as a team, but be advised that it depends wholly on the trainer's comfort level with your performance on a day to day basis, if they have issues with your ability to drive then you won't be treated as a team, but if you already have the mechanics down, and show that you can use common sense, then you should be okay, and should progress rather quickly. I hope that I answered your question regarding the stress test, it was kind of ambiguous. When are you looking to get started driving MD?

Soon I hope i have save some more money up, don't want to leave and not have enough money for the family while in school and on the road with the trainer.
