yup. poland springs, and paper. you'll see atleast 3 western trucks at the TA exit3 on 95 in NH or exit 75 in maine at the irvings. i've been there atleast 3 times in the last week. i've started ne regional last week. they get about 200 loads a week out of there. i have been doing home depot runs to.

hi my orientation was delayed for a week to get ss card. i am leaving saturday from vt on the bus mar 17 for orientation on monday mar 19. my recruiter was to call me wed because i have some questions. she didn't call and another recruiter says i have to talk to the original recruiter with my questions. so if anybody can answer some questions for me asap because i leave tomorrow.training pay i see on this forum is $375 a week. do we get a training pay check weekly to survive on? after training my request was solo, northeast and do they give that route to me? home time? how long out before they send you home for the weekend? i live in the northeast and certainly want to drive here because it will be easier for western and to get home on that weekend. i'm going to travel light and will go to wal-mart to buy bedding. is there a store close by the orientation in nashville? one more, what is the pay for a new guy after training? thank you!

How is that NE regional deal working out? I am debating between Western and Metropolitan. Just have not had a chance to talk to any WE drivers to see how that deal is working out

they say$375 aweek but taxes come out. you do get paid weekly. as far as a store in nashville i dont know. i went to the nazareth pa terminal for orientation. you will go out with a trainer for up to 4 weeks. make sure you tell them ne regional. most likely you wont make it home till after training. $.26 a mile when you go solo. .14 taxed .12 pardium. the only teams western runs is in training i believe. they can answer any questions in orientation. did they send your bus ticket via email.

hello dweedle, thanks for the response. my recruiter,Edna gave me my confirmation bus ticket number and i picked up my ticket yesterday. i was a little worried about monies to eat and all. thats why i was wondering about when we got training pay. so i will tell my trainer about wanting solo in northeast,i also told my recruiter but haven't heard back from her. another recruiter said she was out til monday and any questions i had i had to wait and talk to Edna. thank you for the info.

hello dweedle. i am going to nashville when i go. i asked her why not nazerath and she said something like i'd be hanging around alot there or something in that effect. i thought maybe she might be talking about a long wait for a trainer. i haven't left yet, didn't know anything about pay, hometime, where i wanted to drive, ect. until i left i wanted some answers to info on the company.advice from my brother-law who's a x-trainer,retired. now i'm moving into a new apt and want to do this before i leave for april 7. i told my recruiter i want solo, eastern route, maine especialy.its close to home. and home at least everyother weekend. now i see on here a recruiter will say anything to get you into orientation and i see that someone here said if you run out of nashville, you run the west coast! doesn't seem like she would fill me with bs and i don't get what i want. seems like a real nice lady on the phone. they make me happy and i'll make them happy.

He is obviously taking his $100 a week advancement that is available to him every week.So you will need to look at what you are drawing from the check. One thing Western doesn't do is screw you outta money,if there is a payroll mistake they will correct it right away.

I worked for western for 6 years...First of all the straight poop is living in Maine you can expect to easily get home roughly every two weeks if you are on the Van division,if you are going flatbed you may push closer to 3 weeks but it won't be from lack of your dispatch trying to get you home. And it is a MYTH that running out of any paticular yard will keep you on any given coast. If you want to stay on the east coast you will have no problem staying there.Western has plenty of freight to keep you there
