western lossing logs and getting ready for DOT. audit

    Hey folks, first thing is I do not believe these are all western drivers that are on this, no-way. All your stories,all your complaints don't fit...There are two many new drivers that are not trained right...I have had to help an heard from them how there trainers are not helping them at all. Western is not treating us all that differant... I have been screwed out of pay the last month, I am one of the few still running paper, an they lost my logs...I have been shut down until I get them to them an they are trying to blame me for it...yet I have all reciepts that I have transflowed them all correctly...they are being audited an are tring to fix there carelessness...The only people in this company that say this company is good has no clue what this industry is all about and was about...Do any of you E-logers have a copy of your logs? No, and if you know anything you are suppose to and you need to keep them for 6months...how many of you has western reset? a few...an my trainer was one...DOT..just popped a couple of companies for doing that an shut them down...I am like alot of you , not enough expreince to run for the small boys that treat you right an pay you what you are worth...This company is one of the most crooked companies in the industry...Big rich, an you will be there slave....as I am....why you think they are pro Romney...The stae he was govner for his firemen,police an teachers are makeing minum wage...They are takeing my blue international in 60 days...I am gone...I have a class-A cdl...I will go drive a dump truck....If I can't go owner operator...Have been on the phone today with lawyers, an J.J.Keller, and DOT I know what this company is about....Oh yea you guys that have high csa's this is only crap hole you can work for....they know that...and there are alot of yea....And these new trucks you people like...62 miles an hour, with E-logs....Did it ever cross your mind why owner operators don't buy that junk.......Look around ya only the companies are buying them.....hope this company crashes and burns...I will be the first to get on the witness stand.........

    Paper logs do get miss placed its why u keep em. One for taxes and in case of adult.. 2 elogs are backed up for 6 months on elogs website and drivers can download em. Western express is a startin company so it will suck. And truck speed is nothing 62 its to save fuel my truck runs 65 I do 60-65 depends on my rush I never driven for them but uh u can make good money on elogs clearing 700-900 a week is good for starting. If u wanna buy ur own truck with being new ur nuts get more exp first.. learn how things are out here. I grew up in truckin there still lots to learn

    So did I TruckerPete1900 growing up part that is & good luck w/ $700-900 crap they sent me to Cali last wk & only made $450 because the Phoenix ld from Quincy Ca ld was screwed up by the DM because U have 2 make an appt like dry freight...32c a mile is nuts & $15.00 Tarp fee is garbage..I'm ready 2 chuck it & go 4 better close 2 home, Ran w/ guys w/Elogs no room 4 leeway when ur running short of hrs I drive both an old SMX tractor/flatbed still on paper...& other driver in 62mph Cascadia w/Elogs slows U down when U have 2 actually run & make money...At least he can keep up not like da last guy who kept getting lost...My Int'l 06-9400 runs 68mph U do da math!!!

    U & I'm Not along IW, DOT is the way 2 go using them as last resort, They are crap, More Cascadias in da shop in Nashville than da older trucks & they treat their flatbed drivers like crap...Losing Dry Van accts quickly..Have paper & SMX 9400 myself 68mph Not waiting till Dec. planning 2 leave soon.
    Like I said in prev post..2 guys I rode w/ had Cascadias...2 slow w/o Elogs w/them makes it worse......Their going 2 Crash & Burn soon...Promise!!!

    Yea, I'm outta here too..I talked with that DM's boss Ed Harding he was he said he never heard anyone queting over a truck..HAHAHAHA, man never drove a truck so he has no idea what I am talking about..62 mls hr an cry about fuel milage, then, they let them planers route us any way they want...You know they sent me up us20 outta rainelle w.virgina...with 46 thousand pd's on the trailer..worried about fuel milage....I have gotton 3700 miles in last 3 weeks and they been splitting up my checks an not paying me for the hole 3700...two weeks in a row....Big rick companies produceing slave labor...If romney gets in there he will cut out welfare an everybody will work for nothing....( look up his state) My kids are on food stamps, and I just got goverment housing to help pay my rent...An I work in the trucking industry.....I am going home in 55 day's ( when they take my truck-blue international w/paper logs) and going to drive a dump truck ...Starts at 18 an hour......These new people like the flat slob flatbeder next to me who is happy he has e-logs ( no-responsablity except driving, see accedent rate on csa) can have this until I can buy my own rig...That is who the real truckers are...It's why they don't buy new trucks.......Enjoy my last few weeks behind the wheel........Peace boy's it has been fun.........Just all the other crap the people are takeing cause they don't know anything.....

    Jazz man, you see the trucker pete who grew up in this industry....one of those company people that get on here an lie...It's what I am talking about...He is saveing fuel....really, what moutains is climbing? I go up in 9th.. an burn fuel, he is saveing fuel...grew up in this industry yet, wants e-logs.....where did he grow up,that all tyhe truckers love e-logs...cause as said I have 3700 in last 3 weeks and can't get my full paycheck outta these people...I can prove it....logs are not lost as he say's...What it is is they are getting there #### together for the audit an now they care about paper work being in order....I am 3rd genration trucker, my dad is pre-pass, and my uncle is a broker out in phoenix.....I friends are owner operators, and they are getting payed and have real rigs...99's and 98 pete's and kenworth's Bottom line this is a company that is self assured and you are there slave...get out.....Oh, trucker Pete is a company man that works in a office or no real company will take him.........Some one who grew up should be able to go to any company he wants........but stay's here????????? Must be one of those awesome trainers this company has, reason I am out here and always haveing to help these guys...AND YES THEY ASK ME......FOR THE HELP.........peace........

    To start I am retired Law Enforcement and do not fabricate information any portion of this message it is fact and how things happened.
    I had issue with Western Exp. as well, I had a load over 80,000 GVW told them I was refusing the load because of over weight limit, shipper would not take product off, Terminal Mgr. said to run the load going to NYC because they had agreements with law enforcement when vehicle was over GVW I made him give me something in writing over qualcomm that if I got weight violation tickets they would pay the fine, another issue is your suppose to get NYC pay but once your in NYC for delivery they give you another load in a different suburb and don't want you give you the NYC pay again just because your already in NYC, they shorted me short haul pay never gave it to me.
    Had a load to be picked up in Pa @ 10:30am and it was to be delivered @ 3am following morning in So. Portland, Me. 1hr drive to get to pick up, around 1hr load time, drive all day only stopping 3 times for bathroom break, all most fell asleep at wheel 50 miles from delivery point with 1 1/2 hr. drive time left, pulled in rest area took 10 hr. break went to stop following morning I get message from DM stating " why you missed appointment time" I said "would you rather me be safe or make the appointment" his response " I would like on time deliveries", to me that's not taking the drivers safety in mind its all about the scheduled appointment. As far as home time they don't want you to spend time with family all they want you to have is a 34 hr. reset no matter how many days, weeks your on the road.
    So I quickly learned that they are not looking out for the driver because if they were they would take care of the driver and eventually the drive would do well and the company well do well because the drivers are being treated well.
    I sent a e-mail to the president he sent me in the direction of the Sr. VP of operations, I spoke to him over the phone, he made promises to me and told me to contact him the following week, I contacted him following week and to this day he still has not returned my phone call after leaving him a message.
    Fortunately I am fortunate enough where I really don't have to work because I have a pension but if were to rely on Western Exp. for a decent paycheck I would most likely starve and go bankrupt.
    So I quit and they were quick enough to give me a load to be picked up and dropped near the terminal, and was told to either deliver or bring to terminal. I have decided NOT TO DELIVER THE LOAD just bring it to the terminal and let them deal with it, they can do what ever they want with out me. GOOD RIDDENS

    I think this guy was offered a lot of money like the guy on the cover of trucker mag that says they treat him good.....They have no idea what I'm about 2 do 2morrow now that Hurricane Sandy is heading 2 my home in North NJ they'll wish that they paid more and/or routed me home b4 sending me 2 Texas....They will Paid Big Time!!!!

    That's what I'm going 2 do or was..Hurricane Sandy will be used as a excuse 2 keep me away fm home but I can take it to PA. & they will be sorry, So help me GOD!!!

    Oh Irish Wood, funny U should say W Va they had me deadheading 60 miles fm 1 part of I79 2 another (north to south) del'v & p/u loads & 2 make it worse da appt time 4 da p/u was'nt till 9:40pm not 10:30am & I did'nt finish delivering till 12noon U do da math....And to top it off I could'nt make da p/u because breakdown had me running in circles when I spotted a bubble on da right side steer that was replaced at da Birmingham terminal & because of that I could'nt Transflo da load I delivered earlier & da Pilot up da road wont be finished 4 another 2 weeks....Now I have 2 deal w/being in Texas while my family's home in NJ surviving Hurricane Sandy, Wait until 2morrow when d/l my ld their gonna get a earfull yessiree!!!
