No not the recruiter..... Call and ask for the PAYROLL DEPT .....refresher pay is when you are getting paid while you're doing the refresher program ($0.30/mile to the truck- meaning $0.15/mile per driver)

if you have his driver code and the paycheck stub in front of you (it gets emailed to you every Thursday evening) since you're his wife, I can't see why they won't talk to you.

I've never had this issue. But don't just look at the mileage pay. WE pays .12 per diem. So that's .25 a mile which is still .01 short of what he should be getting paid so like superpet39 advised, contact pay roll or have him ask his DM why he only got .25 instead of the .26 he is supposed to be getting.

Hey nice positive writeup. I m looking at going to Western because they offer a refresher course. I ve been out of riving for 5yrs and am looking to go back. if you re still at Western I m interested to know how thin gs wernt after training ie: getting your truck etc... Are you getting good loads? What is your cpm? How much are r you taking home? Anything else you ve experienced tell me. Thanks.

Hey Realfasho. Just joined this site. I see after figuring out how to navigate here some of my questions you ve already answered but there are a few I haven t seen answers to. How much money do you make per week. And how much do you take home. The recruiter told me 900 to 1100 per week. I know you can t tell me what I would be making of course. That depends on different variables when you re out on the road. So just give us a ballpark figure. How much do you average per mile and overall how much do you gross and net. it looks like you ve been there close to a year so how much did you make for the year. Thanks for all the positive posts. I am hoping this might be a good foot back in the door but I need to know what I can count on for income. Thanks!

i no longer work for western, however i can tell you this. i only saw 900.00 once in 10 monhts. realistic average at .29 CPM with a 25-2800 week was 500 take home.it is a good way to get back on the road tho, and get some exp in

I am no longer with Western. But I came there with no experience as per what they wanted at the time so I started at the very bottom. I never saw 900 a week on mileage alone. The only time that I would see 900+ would be when I got paid the 400 extra dollars for training a new student. They are on the sliding scale so the way to really make money is to get with your DM and ask him to try and keep you from getting loads over 600 miles. At least then you will be getting at least .34 cpm. If you got a new DM good luck cuz they have nothing really to do with the loads you get. It's the planners that assign the loads but if you have a DM that has built a good working relationship with the planners then they can get things that work in your favor. I don't know what you're starting cpm is nor do I need to. But you can do the math and kinda give yourself a ballpark figure of what to expect.
