Thanks so much for sharing some of your experiences with Western Express. May I ask you what you were paid during your training period each week?

Wow, that is terrible. Most companies pay at least $350 per week during training.

Are you still with Western Express, or did you move onto a better paying company?

I had a scale house pull me on the scale versus giving the bypass...I was empty...and empty flatbed! I wanted to just stomp on the brakes to rock Yvette holy hassle out of the scale...But I didn't. Darn my self control.

Not very many are willing to work to change something. The driving industry is a negative industry to work in. I've heard nothing positive since i have started driving year, and indeed, the DOT have twisted it so much that the companies got rotten and now there really is nothing positive about it.

I'd like to see a change too, but I don't see that unless we remove the DOT from the picture and place something else in its place that's less crooked. Or stand against them. We can change the industry if us truckers stand together but so many are brainwashed during training they see nothing wrong and the ones that see something wrong just don't know what to do about it or are just too lazy. People complain but don't want to do nothing about it.

LMAO!!!! What was the reason they pulled you in then. I guess they were bored. That's ridiculous. Good thing you had self control though.

Exactly. I don't think people really realize how much of everything they use comes by way of truck. But everybody wants to blame the trucker for everything that happens out there on the road. And of course we can't change it because we won't stand together. Imagine the impact if EVERY driver stopped for a week. They would have to all but declare martial law to try and keep the peace. It's all political nowadays.

We are the pawns in this huge chess match. Even the pawns can mate the king if they work TOGETHER.

    JR80 Thanks this.
