I called today and i quote "they are told not to pay it till I hauled my first load". Thinking its time to get a lawyer involved anyone got any numbers? I was there passed the class given a truck and now they won't pay.

Did you receive some type of hire in offer? Such as paid x amount during training and orientation? Need to look at that paperwork and then remind them of that. Let them know you are gonna involve the US dept of labor and look into the fair labor standards act.

Ok so any tricky words like successful completion of orientation and road test?
-
I think passing the load class would say I completed orientation. I never took the road test again.

I don't know. I drive for the van division and all I can say is the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Yeah, this company sucks and I'm not going to be here much longer myself but, let's be honest, most of these trucking companies suck! You just gotta find one you can tolerate. That said, I would have gotten in the truck and generated some income. Being down that week or two is not good for anyone's pocket book and now you're still not behind the wheel.
Just my $.02... -
Well said. I agree/ -
I'm thinking about signing on in the next week or so. Does anyone have anything good to say about western flyer express? I know there is bs with every job. My main concern is equipment. Are the trucks in good shape? The ads say they are running 2013 Pete's in the flat bed division.
