You don't have a CSA. You aren't a carrier. If the trailers are that bad what your risking is your PSP. Of course leaving puts the DAC at risk. Danged if you do, danger if you don't. Good luck.

Please forgive my ignorance. If you change companies it lowers your CSA? Sounds to me like you are actually Complying, being accountable, and safe. The kind of driver companies and other drivers would want on the road. Am I wrong? I would respect a guy more for not putting up with that crap. Again, I dont drive yet. So as for trucking I dont know crap.

Give Fraley and Schilling a call. We can be a bit flexible with the whole 1 yr. experience thing, as long as you can prove that safety is your first priority. And we desperately need good flatbedders! Got too many drivers retiring or talking about retiring around here!

I've only been with them for two months, but they are dead serious about safety and maintenance. And I get paid for break down time, every time. Warning, we pull a lot of steel, and I do mean a lot! Plan on tarping everything. But the good news is we only use four foot drop steel tarps, no where near as heavy as those eight foot drop lumber tarps Western Express uses.

PM me if you have any other questions. It may take me a bit of time to answer during the week, as I am running my legs right down to the nubs.....

Is Louie still running the shop in Nashville?
Have you decided where you're going after you leave Western?

I've actually never been to Nashville, I only run the Northeast so when something breaks I head over to Nazareth, Pa. Not sure where after the one year is up but my wife and I have been looking into moving to Maine so I've been thinking Hartt maybe since they work at the Poland Spring plants that I already know so well and they do a lot of work with Poland Spring. Still not sure though, if I found something that allowed me to follow the law and allow me to keep my good PSP score and make enough money to support my family all at the same time here in PA I'd go with it. It's just a shame things are this bad at WE when they don't have to be, they'll never retain decent drivers that will bring their CSA back up but I don't think they care.....4 more months

No kidding. They are AWFUL! I had to have my load reloaded in SC yesterday because one of the landing gear legs wouldn't crank up. Thankfully International Paper was willing to reload it or I would have been stuck there for a while!
