Broken shock mount - told to pick up load

    He needs to have a decent camera with him, not just a bad cell phone camera.
    Take pictures of the broken shock mount, and all of the messages on the qcom telling him to ignore it, and run.

    He's in for problems, no matter what, but if wx fires or screws with him...he at least has some proof.

    I've been out of the business a long time, but it's my opinion that this probably IS a OOS violation. I might drive it to the nearest repair facility, or I might insist on a tow. If the company doesn't like it, they can have someone come and pick it up.

    Where are all of the people that comment he is the captain of the ship and responsible?

    Seems to me that if it is driven and he has an accident, he will be hung out to dry with this.

    Section44.04 Shock Absorbers

    1. If originally equipped, any missing or broken shock or A
    mounting stud
    2. Any rubber bushing that is deteriorated to a degree that shock A
    metal and mounting point comes into contact (metal to metal)
    3. Shock absorber performance is determined to be deficient B
    during road test

    it easy, tell the dm to stick it, take the truck to shop , and get it repaired. aint a hard decision at all. he needs to refresh his gonads.

    DM and breakdown have told him to vacate drivers seat and let codriver pick up load . . . .

    Pray for him, I guess.

    May Western Express burn in hell.

    I submitted a fmcsa complaint on his behalf.
