I have no otr experience. Just hauling logs on a logging truck. Autos I would think are no good here cause of the steep sharp grades

I had an auto and I loved it, in traffic it was great. Hills going up were maybe a tad slower, but going down i never felt safer. My western exp only lasted a week, where then i was told that they didnt have the freight to get me home every 2 week and id have to stay out for 4. I returned my truck to the Nashville yard and talked to a few ppl that tried to get me to go flatbed. I turned down the flatbed offer like 10-15 times and they started saying as a van driver home every 2 weeks wouldnt be a problem unless freight got slow, I took that as them saying we want you back in the truck and every 2 weeks guess what freight would get slow...........plus one of the higher up got me and the DM i had together so we could "talk and work it out" but the DM began to lie about what he did and didnt say, and for what I have no idea......this wasnt a DM issue. lol i guess it was a defense mechanism that all DMs have, if they get around a higher up and a driver they just start and cant stop.

My DM was logan baker, who told me in a qualcomm message 2 weeks out 2 days home would not happen.......so i left. If iam out driving and i earn the time home I should be able to take it when i feel like.

    Gilpin Thanks this.

I agree. Its hard enough to be away. You should be able to anticipate time at home with worrying about repercussions.

    Back again!

Anyways, they were good to me for a majority of the time I was there.
Primarily running the six southwestern states and doing bottled water runs.
If you're into more stable routes and predictability, I'd still give these guys a shot.

As for why I'm no longer there?
Non-accident related nonsense, but that was three years ago.

I've been going on with my current company for two years now and I'm keeping things alive and well!!

Otr, I agree. I went and saw and I'm back home. That place is so piss poorly ran. I had 105 people in my orientation. Don't bother bringing your long form, you will have to recertify anyway. That place is a ####### joke. You do have to commit for 9 months if you do there refresher coarse. Seriously, go somewhere else to work if you can
