When I was there they were paid a base salary plus commission.

    Okay, changed my mind.

I'd ask the mods to remove (edit) the company name and keep the discussion.

Practices like paying recruiters on commission is good information for wannabe drivers to read--indeed, for all of us to read, in fact. I believe some cheerleaders here are paid on commission, too.

    Sad, but true.

Well personally, Advice123, this thread has turned into a good read IMO for anyone looking at WE.

Someone else mentioned a labor revolt and couldn't agree more! If collectively the trucks

stopped deliveries of Pinot to the senators wives or the stocks took a dive on the big Oil tycoons because

one day we all decided to park then we might get some attention. Or they'll fire everyone and only the

applicants at Western Express will be driving.

    Advice123 Thanks this.

No, son - I wasn't fool enough to drive for them. I'd flip burgers before working there - better compensation.

Complaining? Nobody else would hire me? Give me a break. Typical dumb recruiter, a 2 minute search on here will bring up a load of info on me. I'm not hiding behind "advice123" for a user name.

The reason your smarmy remarks on here got under my skin?

My brother in law ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. He needed a refresher course after 2 years off the road. HE WAS LIED TO BY A RECRUITER. Guess who got to lend him money to pay his bills until he managed to get a job paying more than .15cpm - ME.

So it's a personal deal. Wanna come on this forum and rub it in my face? Go ahead kiddo.

Back to work. For a company that doesn't chew up real people's lives just for profit.

The problem with this thread, any thread that says XYZ will hire you no matter how bad your CDL, is that it actually promotes these BAD companies.

Look around TTR and you'll see cheerleaders including companies like this and C.R. lumped in a proposed list of companies to look at with good companies as though they're in the same league. I expect these cheerleaders collect a spiff every time they get a company mentioned here.

The other is the old, "PM me and I'll find out for you."

Referral fee to follow just for doing that much, I suspect.

Yeah, I'd like to see a breakdown of some braggadocio paychecks, xxx for miles driven, xxx for getting a company mentioned, xxx for a posting that helps continue a discussion about a company and keeps its name out there, xxx for a referral...

First of all... I didn't rub ANYTHING in your face. You decided to troll a simple post that was meant to try and help new drivers from making an uninformed decision. If you have some sort of resentment for recruiters, then that is YOUR problem, but this post is was not created for people like you to take all of your frustration on me or anyone else. The only reason I am even responding to your comments is because I am sick of people crying about positions that they put themselves in.

I also find your demeaning comments comment calling me "kiddo" and "son" insulting. You have no idea who I am, or how old I am, and just because I am not dumb enough to use my real name on a forum like this does not mean that I am hiding from anything.

I don't know your brother-in-law and I had left W.E. by the time he started because they did not offer any type of refresher course when I was there, but I can say this: It is not difficult to go online and research what companies are really paying their employees before starting a job. It is not my fault that your brother-in-law did not do his research before taking a job at WE. As a matter of fact, had he come on to this exact post, he could have probably seen that working for them may not be the right thing for him to do. Unfortunately, for your brother-in-law, people like you come on here and abuse the first FORMER recruiter who tries to come to the site and give some honest information. To be honest, at this point, I can not even believe I am wasting my time even responding to your posts.

    Veryblessed and Ooops Thank this.

Victor. Are you suggesting that I could actually working for WE and somehow getting paid for this?
