Western Express class action lawsuit.

It isn't what should be versus what is; its about tortious reform. I agree; heinous.

 

I don't know how many have signed to fight Western,hopefully many.I sued a company an won and ill do it again and again if a company does me wrong.One thing bad about sueing companies is it takes too long before it comes to service.

 

If the drivers could pull this off , it may set a precedent within the industry

 

I'm torn on this one too -

One hand, the "sue everyone" mentality.

Other hand , boy - some of these companies antics . . .

 

Western Express trainers are only allowed to run their students ( new cdl ) , refresher ( experienced but nothing recent )
and eval ( recent experience ) 50 hrs a week . That's 7 hours a day now.

I started orientation on May 19th.... 2 days unpaid ....and did the rest of the week in their flatbed load securement.
Load securement pays $50 per day .

Time on the road pays $53 per day....and I got a full weeks settlement of 7 days.

I would rather they paid road time with trainer more like other companies do...and I think a 7 HR day is
not good for conditioning a new driver for 11/14 70/8 lifestyle .
