Been with WE for a month now. First two weeks spent in Nashville. Last two plus spent on the road doing the required 10 thousand miles with another new hire driver. I was fortunate enough to be able to skip the trainer. So many horror stories about the trainers. I truly hope many of them were lies.

So, here I am in a southwestern state, bored. For this segment of the adventure, I have had the unique experience of being teamed with a driver who can transform a CMV into a ride from six flags. Yep, for two weeks now I have been slammed back and forth with every gear change, lane change, and pot hole. One may think I am joking but it is the truth. I am physically sore from this person changing gears. Never knew such a thing was possible, but it certainly is. Great guy though. Just not a driver. Only drives days so, I get to drive the nights and stay up most of the day helping navigate etc. Truth is, I'm scared to go to sleep for fear of waking up dead. Just as well be honest about it. I have been completely amazed at how much punishment a transmission can endure. It is truly remarkable.

I'm going to deviate from the norm and refrain from bashing WE. I had never driven over the road but knew pretty much what to expect from the company before coming on board. It is what it is. What I needed was OTR experience. They were willing to give me that as well as go flatbed in the process. Killing two birds with one stone. So, at the end of a year, I will have made little money, put up with a lot of BS, but have something they can't tax or take away. Experience.

As things progress for me here at WE I will try to put it out for anyone who might have a question about flat bedding with this company. Of course this offer is totally dependent on me getting the hell off this six flags ride with ole buddy here. I'm sure looking forward to the absence of a grinding/screaming transmission while trying to sleep!

    Be safe!

Wow , so not sure who WE is , sounds like maybe you need to "train " the six flags operator , maybe just make a small comment , maybe seriously try some reverse phycology like pretend you having some trouble with the trans , say in this thing shiftin worse than a .............." maybe a type of truck he dislikes ", then he will likely instinkivly try to show you how to shift it smooth , might just work , I am not normally devisive like this but , from what you say about him sounds like it might be your only chance , hope things work out , keep the rubber side down, good luck.
