The amazing thing is the whole process came together in a matter of hours. Not days. It went so fast, I didn't have a lot of the basic information and still don't, actually. But it doesn't matter. A couple more hoops to jump through there and I'll be buying Joe coffee. 🎶 😇 🎶

Good luck - welcome to rookie flatbed, I'm enjoying it so far. The wife says it's very sexy man work.

Louisville. Next stop, Nashville and an 0530 shuttle to their terminal tomorrow. 15 hours on a very crowded bus and not much sleep. I think I know what I'm going to do this day...

If (or more likely when) you get tired of Western Express' crap, pm me. Once you get some experience in flatbeds, manymany doors open for you. Flatbedding as a whole is really hurting for drivers these days. An experienced flatbedder who knows steel, pipe, and "odd load" securement (air conditioners and containers and stuff like that) has no reason to be stuck at a crap outfit like Western Express.

I'll keep it in mind, but my issue hasn't been experience (though I have zero in flatbedding); rather, it's getting past a company's insurance carrier's prohibition against having a suspension within the past 3-5 years. No experience level compensates for that, and considering I only want to work a max of 3-4 more years and hate the job application process, well, I might be where I'll end up.
