Not really sure on that... So dont make me lie, just got msg over the QC.. Might been sent to scare drivers to get up and get a move on it.. I do know there was talk about a few USG plants closing down.. One in New Orleans is one, not sure if this true or not. Heard from a few fellow drivers that live down there about this one... Guy over operation told us last week, that he has been keepin up with the econmy just as much as his job itself! And that Boyd Bros parked over a hundred some trucks and that some customers came our way and some ran from us. So we're picking up slack somewhere in the flatbed race...

Western Express. has that assessement sheet for theme to be able to assess drivers. really it doesn't always apply to Students. And really that shouldn't be in the paper work that is handed out to students. But to be honest they also are not a LARGE training company. Bu they are a good company. I haven't received many complaints. Mind you I am not going to say none. Just not many.

 

No they have not. They have aquired SMX back about a year ago. But they have NOT filed a chapter 7. I think the misconfusion happened with a Western Express out of Colorado They are NOT related to Western Express INC.

 

(1) Problem is with the driver's allowing themselves to be dispatched on a run they cannot legally complete.

(2) I'd blame the driver who left their maintenance facility with the vehicle(s) in this condition. Did they not do a pre-trip inspection? Sounds like they didn't. Even if they did, and reported it to maintenance facility who in turn did not repair said items, the driver is at fault for departing maintenance facility without repairs having been done.

(3) This manager needs to be reminded ... without the driver, he does not have a job!

 

heard from a couple drivers out of birmingham western is building a new terminal there-ground already broke.rumor of also trying to buy boyd so who knows there.funny with pay cuts to help out then he builds a new terminal?

 

All you really had to do was find a DOT Cop, and ask him to inspect you, because you feel that the equpiment is unsafe, yet your compant refuses to listen to you. Once he places you out of service, it would of woke up the home office.

 

Yes it is true, my husband works for western and they sent a message out last week. Second, he didn't quit like a lot of people did, because they are not paying there drivers. Again, this morning makes two weeks without pay, it comes in direct deposit charges our account 35.00 to send it back. Western is screwing people.

 

I was on a waiting list for an available trainer when my recruiter emailed me and said Western is cancelling the training program, they are no longer taking students!
