If you are talking about the one out of Nashville, TN…Don't go there....I worked for 'em

You won't get the respect you deserve....

I wrote a different thread on this forum somewhere…..

Go with a company like Roehl, Crete or Schneider

I got quite a laugh just from their application. :laughing9: I found their app. in the office of my CDL school. Page 11 is a driver risk assessment form. I've been retired for a few years (voluntary), so 5 points against me for that, 1 year or less of driving experience nets me 5 more points, No mountain or winter driving, no experience with tractor trailers, another 14 points. My scoring summary Grand Total was 24. Over in their Rating Summary, if you have 18 or more points it says DO NOT HIRE.

The funny thing about this, is all in my class have no T/T driving experience, and subsequently no mountain and winter driving experience. So, even the squeaky clean get 19 points against them. Why do they even place driver applications at CDL schools? Another myopic transportation company ? :cyclops:

I hope I can get over being rejected by them..:notworthy:

wow, That surprises me that you didn't meet 'their' qualifications

When I was running out of the home office in Nashville, I heard that the driver coming in for orientation, were not getting all the required testing such as driving test, backing, etc.

Basically made you take a drug test and if you passed, you got a set of keys to your new Volvo, that was how bad they need drivers.

  7. Glad this was ask. My school is telling me this is a good company but hard to get on with. Nice to see what people think that have worked for them.

dont get discouraged ,i was rejected by Gordon ,Roehl,US EXPRESS and Schneider for an 8 year old misdemeanor, several others that I contacted didnt hire out of Florida where I live,so I finally got on with a local company that does all 48 states pay practical miles a little low 26cpm after 400 per week training. after 4 months I can go with Crete if things arent satisfactory.good luck and dont stress I went a little nuts with this forum checking and analyzing all the different companies ,I just finished school on Jan 16th finshed orientation on the 23rd and I start with a trainer friday the 26th otr:hello1:

Avoid Western Express AND Schneider. My fiance worked for Schneider and they didnt pay crap. He has worked for Western Express almost a month and they are giving him crappy loads! We have heard good things about TMC though. He is thinking about going there is if things dont get better at Western Express.

He will be pulling a flatbed, (or is he at Western?) which is a lot different then a van, in terms of the loading and unloading of it.

I did have a decent dispatcher when I worked at Western. That was the only positive I can say about them. Try and stick it out a year with Western so he will have that 'job stability' to sign on with a good company.

Having 5 jobs in 1 year, the good companies will turn their nose up at you.

    Good luck
