hello i have my rad and charge air cooler out of the truck and noticed oil in the piping going into the charge air cooler... its the piping coming off the turbo into the charge air cooler... is my turbo shot??? 05 detroit 12.7L
any ideas??

If you clean it out and it gets more oil in it I would look close at the turbo....

Our 14.0L Detroit had a bit of oily file inside the tubes as well. I wasn't too worried with the amount that I had seen. I'm sure a bit of oil will get past the seals in certain conditions

Replace your turbo... the seals are showing early signs of going out.... and if your seals are going, maybe the shaft is too. You do not want to play around with your turbo as it can grenade and fragments can trash your engine.
Not to mention that your contaminating your charge cooler with oil, reducing its efficiency.andrewklim Thanks this.
