Raspa, I am going thru Central Tech right now, started last Monday also going with WSE after. You are correct on the .30 a mile after your initial training period and you go solo. Not a bad start out rate for a newbie, when carriers are starting newbs out at .25-.26 . Training pay is $350 a week and I was told tax free. I'm assuming that has somthing to do with the per diem which I am not really high on. But overall Central Tech is a great school and I believe WSE to be one of the better starter companies. But what do I know. I'm at Central untill Sept 17th.

I have researched like crazy on here and WSE sounds like a great place to start. Very little negative, and I figure with all of the negative about companies on here that pretty much speaks for itself....lol I really think however, you will get out of it what you put into it....that has been my experience in life.

I wish you well also, who knows, may see you at school as I start the 15th. This forum has really helped me to understand a lot about the industry and what to expect. I am really excited about a new career having been in retail for 40 years, this will be a whole new way of life for me and I am looking forward to it. This "old dog" is gonna learn some new tricks. lol lol

How is school going gsmith? I am all set to start on the 15th. This is going to start a new chapter in my life and I am really looking forward to it. I was in Elm Springs last week end and stopped by WSE and got the "short" tour of the place. I feel I have made the right decision. It is 30 cpm once you go solo.
