President, COO leaves troubled carrier for United Healthcare

Timothy A. Wicks resigned his post as president and chief operating officer of YRC Worldwide today to return to his former employer, United Healthcare.
YRC Worldwide announced Wicks resignation in papers filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Tuesday morning but had no further comment.
With his departure, operations, sales and marketing divisions report directly to Chairman and CEO William D. Zollars, the company said in its filing.
Wicks departs YRC Worldwide just as the struggling company begins to recover from tremendous losses and battles to regain market share and return to profit.
Replacing Wicks is going to be the biggest challenge for Bill Zollars now, said Satish Jindel, president of SJ Consulting Group, a transportation consulting firm in Pittsburgh.
The longer it takes to fill that (position), the more difficult it makes it for the company, Jindel said. In this situation they did not need a change of this kind.
