Will Holland hire you without hazmat endorsement? Had it forever then let it go 2 years back.I saw that the Lexington terminal was needing a linehaul driver/drivers so I applied there.Going to get endorsement back soon.I know my bad for letting it go.And how far do you need to live from the terminal. I'm 75 miles away so I thought I would give it a shot.Always wanted to drive for a good LTL co but never could find any hiring close to me till now.I see Holland trucks swapping out all along U S 25E in Ky and Tn at night time when I'm coming back to the yard at night. Thanks and be safe.

give it a try, cant hurt... just think though do you really want to drive an extra 150 miles a day after driving? I know of a few guys who do it at my terminal they dont seem to mind it at all

Yea if the money is right then that wouldn't be a problem. It wouldn't be that much of a problem only an hour and fifteen min drive. Had to drive there last night to the airport and took only an hour and a half. Besides it's all interstate and 75 miles isn't nothing for a truck driver LOL!

Very true, very true... You might want to do Line-haul then, a little more money, and possible stay out over night if needed. I know absolutly nothing aboth holland, but since it is owned by USF it might be similar to Reddaway. There is a Reddway driver on here.
Also just realizing they wont hire you without the haz-mat. If your in the process of getting it then possibly they wont give you a hard time. You can always call and find out. I got hired back at CWF while I was in the process of it but I dont know how YRC company is -
Yea this was for a line-haul position. Thx for the reply back.

I work for Reddaway but not sure how Holland runs things. I know Yellow, back when it was Yellow, did things the same as we do in line haul at Reddaway. We either do meet turns (occasionally) or over night runs which is 90% of the time. I'm on the extra board and get to sit by the phone. We have more work than drivers, so I'm always working. I work 99% night shift, which I prefer. We also do what they call a relay which means we go to one yard, drop a trailer/trailers and grab another trailer or set then go to another yard not very far away. Pay is near the bottom starting out for LTL. I believe Holland pay is better.

Im sure they are similar in how they run things... If he gets the job we will find out.
