While i can see why someone will agree or disagree its still a situation worth looking into. Not everyone has a bad experience like others. Take me for example, when i drove over the road i never had a problem getting home after 2 weeks or so. But I ran my butt off. I understand that union guys can b all full of hot air n get all pissed if someone comes in of the street to do a bid run especially if there were other guys in line. I would b pissed too if it was my business but the reality is that union members butt in where it doesn't apply to them. If they where looking out for another employee i would also do the same n let that employee know, but if there aren't any other drivers on part time or casuals or whatever then how can anyone speak out. The city drivers can't say anything niether from what im been told cause they have there own board n bid runs. So after i get proper proof then I'll jump on it or not, but i must likely will. Thx.

The only reason I got into bids was because no one wants them

Well I hope i get in n make real money compared to the USPS, I would probably rather have a bid run to have a set schedule. For what they're telling me they're just short drivers now n have to use drivers from other terminals who are road drivers. If n when i get in I'll b #7 out of 8 or he 8th one. But either way it'll b a better pay then where i am now. Im a hard worker so ill do whatever to run but i hope i dont get laid off in the slow season. Like i said before they really never slowed down the previous slow period but it's probably cause they were short drivers. In actuality they suppose to have 10 road drivers but are going to leave it at 8 to keep everyone busy.

I Average about 850.00 after everything being takeout(taxes and 15℅) on my last bid. Usually averaged 450 a night or more with a few hours clock time. I had to do two short trips from the home terminal. I was out of a hub though. I miss those days. I only worked 5 days a week though, I'm not sure if yours is a layover making it 6 days. What terminal did you apply too as I might know of it. You can PM me if you want. Like I said before I should've tried a transfer instead of switching companies

2 layovers and a turn, Nice! I had a bid like that at a previous employer, it was nice while it lasted. Hopefully you will get some decent clock time with your mileage.

I here u, I hope that they actually call me for an interview. I have two current drivers there helping me to get in they're also giving me the inside scoop, even if it's 3 layovers I'm ok with that . Time will tell all, I'm ready for a new start.

I know Overnite used to do that when they had the 10 hour driving law. Even now UPSF has you do 6 trips one week then 4 the next. Of your on a layover bid
