according to my dad YRC bond holders keep postponing the inevitable. it seems things are looking bad for my dad. the company is under a dollar on the stock market and people keep getting layed off more and more. If stock is under a dollar that is not a good thing. The stock market might have to pull them off the market. My dad is based in the detroit terminal but things are looking rough. i thought winter would bring business but it brought the opposite. the stock plummeted near the middle of November. Im scared for my dad. on top of that this merger just caused more hurt than it did good. Roadway just sucked every company they bought dry and on top of that ruined that companies reputation because they were affiliated with roadway. This is a joke. If it was up to me i would hurt some people high up in the company but i dont feel like going to jail. Roadway is a joke and what they do to companies is a joke. they blame every company but themselves for what has happened they should be held accountable for their actions.

Start writing up your resume now and get it ready with references in case you need it.

The stock value is not that important (if you don't own any) and many companies go into bankruptcy to shake off their debt.

Overall as a driver your DOT record is the most important. DAC is maybe secondary.

You can't fault yourself for staying and you really can't fault someone for leaving -but your instincts are usually right and I would at least look at my options. By getting mad you are not helping yourself unless your DOT record is poor.

Wow! I didn't know that. Not like they haven't been talking about it on every radio talk show on a daily basis for close to a freaking year now!

yeah i know. well i dont know about the union. teamsters to me aint ####. these people can do nothing because business do what they want and just listen to them to give them the respect thats it. getting help from them is like pulling teeth from a bull. my dad went on medical leave and they couldnt get the paper work right not once. teamster when it comes to paper work are like mentally challenged people. its stupid. idk we'll see. the medical compensation pay was a joke to my dad. teamsters honestly is a joke. like why cant people in charge just do right and not be so politcally influence. because when it comes down to it your decisions influence millions down the road and a lot of them already screwed up. That goes for YRC and teamsters.

A good explanation of what YRC faces in the near future.

In a word, they are toast.

Their pension obligations would have killed them even without their crummy management.
