The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association will hold a celebration of the life of its late president and CEO at the Mid-America Trucking Show in March.
Jim Johnston served at president of OOIDA for over four decades, fighting for truckers’ rights. So, it’s fitting that truckers will come together to pay their respects and celebrate his life and life’s work at a free open house. The event will be held from 11am to 2pm on Friday, March 23rd, in conference room B101/102 in the South wing of the Kentucky Expo Center.
Free snacks and refreshments will be provided, so OOIDA is asking that you register in advance if you plan to attend.
Johnston passed away in early January after a battle with lung cancer. Read more about his passing and his life here.
