Feast or famine. They would run me hard sometimes where I had two days to deliver a 1,200 mile trip. They're constantly calling me for an ETA update on when I will get there. They act like there's always another load waiting to be picked up. Most of the time there wasn't. Terrible at home time. Give them a month's notice on when I want to be home and they rarely get me home when I asked. I'm in Indianapolis at the time but they want me to go to Carthage first to pick up the load to get me home from the road three or four days later than I asked.

Pros

Nice equipment. Main facility in Joplin is really nice.

Cons

You're just a truck number and not a person to them.

Planners, fleet leaders, ops managers, will screw you, then won't answer ur message or calls. No solid freight base, where it should be freight in good freight areas. Terminals are mid grade at best. Will not recommend to no driver

Transport America

My husband and I have worked here for a little over a year now and I have to say it's a great company to work for. We are not new to this industry by any means and have been thru several other companies and this is this first one that I can honestly say cares about their drivers. The money is good if you're willing to keep the door closed and work. The benefits are good and the fleet leaders are extremely pleasant to deal with.

Transport America Opinion?

100% correct. I used to work for transport america and infact the only reason I left was due to snow storm and death in the family. it was the best company I ever worked for except for hometime. they kept trying to send me in the wrong direction of my house every single day of transit. other than that it was great. sorry for late reply

Lots of fed-ex freight. Embrace New Jersey. Every inch of it. You're going often. I personally like it, you reload quickly and on your way.

TRANSPORT AMERICA LEASE PURCHASE

TRANSPORT AMERICA LEASE PURCHASE

I'm not really looking for a bunch of beat downs. Lol. I've been driving for TA now as a company driver for almost a month now. So far I'm very happy here. All I know about their lease plan is you have to drive for them for 6 months before they will consider your qualified for their lease purchase. And that they have 3 different kinds of lease plan options. So far I'm impressed with the way they operate, and they have been treating me very well. I'm driving a nice 2015 Kenworth T-680, I get plenty of miles. If they run their lease plans like everything else I've seen here so far it might be worth looking into. I just wondered if there is anyone who has leased with them before, and what they thought about it?

I'm pretty certain I've finally found the company I'm going to stick with till I retire. I can buy a truck if I wanted one that bad. I have excellent credit and plenty of money for a down payment. I'm well aware most lease purchase plans are a ripoff. I'm just curious if anyone has ever done a lease purchase with TA and what their opinion of it was. I don't think this company is out to ripoff drivers. They actually do put the drivers first. It's not just a bunch of talk like most trucking companies are famous for.
