Regional/Local CDL Truck Driver - Dry Van and Flatbed

Responsibilities
• As a professional driver for Swift Diamond Trucking, LLC, you are expected to perform your duties safely, responsibly, and in compliance with all company policies and federal regulations. Please always review and adhere to the following responsibilities:
• We are seeking experienced and dependable CDL Class A drivers for both regional and long-haul routes. Drivers will transport freight using power-only units, refrigerated trailers, dry vans, and container chassis.
1. Safe and Efficient Operation
• Operate the truck safely and efficiently while following all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Ensure cargo is properly secured before transport.
• Immediately report any accidents, breakdowns, or mechanical issues to the owner/dispatcher.
2. Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections daily.
• Check and document:
• Tires (proper inflation, no cuts, bulges, or damage)
• Fluid levels (oil, coolant, transmission, etc.)
• Leaks or mechanical defects
• All lights, reflectors, and signals to ensure proper function
• Report any defects or unsafe conditions immediately before operating the vehicle.
3. Chassis and Container Checks
• When pulling your own chassis, always inspect it before use:
• Verify tires are in good condition with no cuts or bulges.
• Ensure all lights and reflectors on the chassis are functioning properly.
• If there are issues with the chassis, notify the port’s mechanic shop for repair before departure.
• Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across assigned routes.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details in accordance with federal guidelines.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during route driving to ensure safe delivery of freight.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or vehicle issues.
Experience
• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years verifiable driving experience preferred
• Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Experience with reefer, container, or power-only freight is a plus
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
• Strong safety record and work ethic
• Knowledge of route planning and navigation to optimize delivery efficiency.
