About us
- We've been in trucking for 80 years and under the same family and values the whole time. RexDon started in 1946 as a one-man household moving outfit, moved into towaway trailer delivery in the early '80s, and today we're one of the largest power-only carriers in the country, running all 48 states.
- Here's what makes us different from most: we don't own trucks. Every truck in the RexDon fleet belongs to the owner-operator driving it. We're not a company fleet with a lease-purchase program on the side. The O/O model is our business, and it has been for decades. We also don't broker and don't trip-lease. Every load you pull is going to a RexDon customer; trailer manufacturers, dealers, leasing companies, and repair shops we've worked with for decades.
- The bulk of what we move is empty trailers. Relocations for manufacturers and dealers: single trailers, pups with dolly gear, stacks of flatbeds, and trailer-mounted equipment. We have a couple of customers we pull loaded freight for, but that's the exception, not the rule. Either way it's power-only...You're never touching freight yourself.
- Our average driver has over 20 years OTR. Our office staff has 100-plus years in the industry between them. We know our drivers by name, not by truck number. If you talk to any of them, they'll tell you the same thing.
What we offer
Pay
- 78% of the line haul on every load
- 100% of the fuel surcharge - We keep none of it. Your fuel = your pay
- 100% Accessorial pay - pup hookups, stack tie-downs, etc.
- Average driver Net: $2500-$3000 per week
- Top driver Net: $6000-7000 per week
- Settlements: weekly Tuesday, direct deposit on Friday
The Work
- Mostly empty trailer relocation. 95% of what we do. Light loads, better fuel mileage, and none of the weight headaches
- No touch freight, ever. A couple of dedicated customers ship loaded, but you never touch the load yourself.
- No brokered loads, no trip-leases. Direct freight from our own customer base
- Drop-and-hook style work — pick it up, deliver it clean and undamaged, get your next one
- All 48 states; take the long runs or stay regional
- Home time is your call. Stay out as long as you want or be home every weekend — you run your business, we keep you loaded
Support

- Quarterly safety bonus - $300 (typically enough to cover your fuel tax for the quarter.)
- Sign-on Bonus - $1500 total over one year. Enough to cover your first year's plate cost!
- After-hours dispatch and accident line for emergencies
Requirements
- Previous Employment History
- Must be over 23 Years of age and under 80 Years of age
- Minimum Two Years Verifiable Over the Road Experience
- Well-Maintained truck
- Current and acceptable MVR
- 6 - 4" x 30' straps (8 preferred) with ratchets
- Long sliding 5th wheel
- pin-out 5th wheel kit for frameless dump trailers
