Dedicated/Regional CDL Truck Driver - Refrigerated - Team Driving


This full-time position is on call 24/7, filling seats as they come available for any 2nd seat driver, scheduled off for that day/week. In rare occasions, casual drivers can become lead driver or 2nd seat driver if no one is available for runs (typically occurs during busy season and is more frequent with Saturday runs) meeting the bakery’s needs.   

  • Casual Drivers fill in for people on vacation, sick, 4th runs, etc. Generally takes about a year to make Co. driver status but not guaranteed

$10K Sign-on/Retention Bonus (60, 120,180 days) $3k, $3k, $4k (based on safety and attendance

  • .49 cents per mile plus drop bonus of $21.51 per drop; probationary rate - .42 cpm (30 days)
  • Drivers Average $100,000-$110,000 a year
  • Guaranteed $1000 dollars a week due to slow seasonal trends (Jan-March) as long as the driver is available and does not turn down a run

What you can expect:
  • Hands on Team Driving
  • Usually dispatched for 2-3 runs a week with extra work possible to fill in where necessary (4th run; with extra pay)
  • Average hours per run is 24 hours, shortest 8 hours, longest 48 hours
  • Average miles per run is 1,029
  • Average drops per run is 14
  • Start Time: Varies by assigned route 
  • Trucks never stop unless roads are shut down due to bad weather
  • Unload product from the reefer unit using hydraulic lift gate and pallet jack, putting frozen product in customers freezer, rotating product, and remove empty trays.
  • Physical exam expected every 2 years

Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid Class A license
  • 21 years of age or older
  • 1 year OTR T/T experience in the past 3 years WITH at least 6 months OTR T/T experience in the past 6 months (we're looking for drivers that are still currently working or have just left their most recent trucking company within the last month)
  • Must have a safe driving record
