  • Pay: $28.00/hr. CDL B| $30.00/hr. CDL A

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday (8 a.m.- 5 p.m.)

  • Routes: San Luis Obispo, CA and surrounding area

As the "face of Airgas," the delivery driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided tractor trailer, straight, or box truck. This position involves loading, unloading, delivering, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders and supplies

  • Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers

  • Make deliveries in a timely manner

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL or B CDL

  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations for commercial drivers.

  • Must consistently demonstrate the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent customer service and communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Possess the ability to read a map and follow directions to effectively navigate delivery routes.

  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by regulation for drivers.

  • Possess a commitment and desire to work safely and ethically

  • DOT pre-employment and random drug testing applies. Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
