Airgas USA, LLC is hiring a safety-conscious Class A Delivery Driver responsible for the transport and delivery of industrial gases and welding supplies. The role involves operating tractor-trailers, strictly adhering to all DOT regulations, and performing meticulous pre- and post-trip inspections. The driver is also expected to provide excellent customer service, safely handle cargo (including loading, unloading, and securing), and accurately complete all necessary delivery and vehicle maintenance paperwork.
Role:Class A Delivery Driver for industrial gases and welding supplies.
Vehicle Operation:Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers, for transport to customer sites and Airgas facilities.
Safety & Compliance:Strict adherence to all DOT, federal, state, local regulations, and company policies, especially regarding hazardous materials.
Inspections:Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections.
Cargo Handling:Safely load, unload, and secure cylinders, bulk tanks, and other materials using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Paperwork:Complete all required documentation accurately (bills of lading, delivery receipts, trip logs, vehicle inspection reports).
Customer Interaction:Maintain professional and courteous engagement with customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Maintenance & Communication:Perform routine vehicle checks, promptly report mechanical issues, and communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors.
Additional Duties (May Include):Assisting with cylinder filling, bulk tank hook-ups, or other warehouse tasks.

Required Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements
Hazmat IS REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THEIR HAZMAT
Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements
No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
Safety and compliance: Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and procedures, as well as the ability to handle hazardous materials safely. This includes proper cylinder handling, storage, and securing techniques.
Technical skills: Ability to operate vehicles with air brakes and familiarity with on-board computers () are often needed. Basic computer skills for data entry are also important.
Physical abilities: Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, which can include push or pull, climbing, and standing/walking for extended periods.
Customer service: Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients effectively.
Attention to detail: High attention to detail is required for tasks like checking labels and ensuring orders are accurate.
Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle issues that may arise during delivery.
Time management: Excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure timely deliveries.
