I would recommend this company hands down they are good people who are honest with you and unlike other flatbed companies who will lie to you force you to run in snow or if not feeling well this company will not I only realized if you get on with this company you will not find any other like it I tried home time is always 100 percent important and the equipment is always well maintained and safe you will never be left stranded I give 10 out of 10

Pros

Will bold face lie to you. When you have had enough they will put abandon truck on your dac even though you take it to the yard. This company dispatchers and recruiting will lie to make the driver look bad. Fair warned never drive for this company no miles and when you tell them you are quitting they will give you a bad day record.

They could careless about their owner operators and do NOTHING to help someone trying to get and keep their own business. All they care about is the company drivers and even then it is a veiled kind of caring because they are just trying to keep drivers deep down they don’t care. This is a company first not driver first kind of place. These people have no loyalty. Management is either all family, married into family or people that they should have gotten rid of many many years ago. Employee of the month is always long term managers and the same people over and over. The trailers are outdated and always need repairs. Combined does not evolve with time. The greed of this company is starting to cost them, I would stay far away. They can’t even keep you busy. That is average $2500.00 a week gross before everything they take.

Pros

I honestly cannot think of any pros.

Cons

Greed, old equipment, not owner operator friendly, needs new management, does not evolve.

Been with them 1.5 years, they deliver on their promises and your home time is sacred to the point that they will rent you a car if they do not have a load to get you home on time. Benefits are excellent and paid is very good. Glass Division

Pros

Hometime and health plan

Cons

I do not have any

Combined Transport?

I'm in heavy haul. Started with glass didn't like it. Not because they're a bad company just because you can't make a heavy hauler a glass hauler. They tried, it ticked me off, but they made it right. I made better on glass, but you know driver that glass isn't for everyone. They are different than mav. They load it differently and don't pay to set up racks and won't let you drive with racks up. But I was making 2400-2800 dollars every two weeks after everything. of course that will be different for you because they no longer pay Per diem.but I think they're great. Bennies on day one. No more apus that I know of, but don't worry, most trucks idle and they won't say too much less you leave it running on sometime. They have fridges and inverters. Most do anyway if not you can get one put in at their expense. They took my front seat or a cabinet if you choose to allow for a fridge. Fix the truck how you want. No pet deposit bring your dog and your wife. They want you to go to Canada but they have lanes that don't require it, however, your pay is 2 cpm more if you go and you get75 dollars to cross in. It's harder to haul glass at combined, but its worth it to be here. Not supericromanaged.its a fun environment. Trucks run 65. insurance for u and the wife runs 165 every two weeks, and that's how often we are paid. They will get you home, whether they have to fly u or not. True open door policy, and the glass girls are great. You can make it home driver
I don't know how long you've been out here but you can't beat how they treat you here. My dispatchers know me, and look forward to having me in their area, and I'm an honory SOB. I like perfection and i m as close to it as I can be at combined. Hope this helps.

This company pays and treats owner/ops VERY BAD. They don't pay your 2290 or any things else. They tell you one thing and then you find out they lied you call them on it and they don't even call you back. I now have OOIDA ON THEM for all the invoices for the loads I pulled...WHY.. I have some proof they are double dipping...What does this mean... Means they book loads at one price then they take out a fee and then give it to you and tell you the miles are way under what they really are.. Now don't get me wrong I know company's don't pay the real miles but it wont even be close it will be 100 to 400 miles off. I was paid 83% of load plus 100% of FSC. When I signed up they told me there onwer/ops were making $28,000 a month to $34,000 a month. I drove for them for almost a year and NEVER SEEN more then $20,000 a month tops. No load paid over $1.90 a mile most paid $1.40 to $1.60 a mile. I understand they pay there heavy haulers good{I hear at-least}
