Great company to work for if you don't mind getting home Saturday and leaving on Sunday. Benefits and pay is good. They say home weekly but that doesn't amount to much. Do a 34 maybe 40 and then back on the road. Will get you close to home towards end of the week and then send on a load across the country. Talk about family but that doesn't include your own. Maintenance on trucks is good. Very well kept.

Pros

Pay, benefits, equipment

Cons

Hometime.

I would say Nussbaum transportation is a very fair company to drive for. The Company is owned by us, the employees. Because it is owned by us it doesn't matter if you drive a truck, are in operations, maintenance or administration, we all work together for a greater purpose and treat each other with respect. The pay is very good and includes minimum guarantee pay, door to door not zip to zip miles pay, detention pay, layover/breakdown pay, pick up pay, delivery pay, trailer relay pay, trailer shuttle pay, and bonus pay. Getting home weekly is important to me and my family. Operations knows it is important and does everything in their power to get me home. You can of course stay out on the road as long as you like. Without getting too detailed we have an Employee Stock Option Plan, 401k with match, full coverage health insurance including health, dental, and vision plans. paid vacation, 8 paid holidays, and more. I believe in my heart there is not a better company to drive with.

Horrible with hometime. Told/applied home weekends and most of time not home till Saturday and had to leave on Sunday. They also look for reasons to rip you off on your guaranteed min pay. Just can’t deliver on most of what is promised. They send you to places where a 53’trailer should never enter. Even the consignee agrees a 53’trailer shouldn’t have been sent. Poor practice when it comes to hazmat. For a company that states faith and family they sure don’t practice what they preach

Pay

Cons

Hometime Practices Don’t care where they send you

Nussbaum has backed everything they’ve told me and there have been no Cons to this place! Love it! East coast can be tough with maintenance but they will find a way to make it work!
