Daimler Truck Holding AG has appointed Karin Rådström as its new CEO, effective October 1, 2024. Rådström, an accomplished Swedish engineer and executive, has led the Mercedes-Benz truck division since 2021 and will succeed long-time CEO Martin Daum. She will serve in the role until January 31, 2029.
Rådström has been instrumental in reshaping the Mercedes-Benz Trucks segment, focusing on sustainability and profitability. She introduced several battery electric trucks, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach in an increasingly competitive market. Before joining Daimler, Rådström held senior positions at Scania, including head of global sales, marketing, and buses.
Martin Daum, who will step down on September 30, 2024, leaves behind a legacy of growth and transformation, having helped transition Daimler Truck into a successful DAX-listed company. Under his leadership, Daimler Truck became a key player in the North American market. Rådström’s appointment is expected to build on this success, guiding the company through its next phase of innovation, particularly in electrification and mobility transformation.
