After a six-year hiatus, the popular Shipping Wars reality television show returns with new episodes this fall, according to recent reports and Facebook postings.
A&E recently announced the network would begin airing new episodes of Shipping Wars on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. The popular trucking industry series features owner-operators and independent truckers negotiating oversized and sometimes strange loads. The show follows the trials and tribulations of truckers who use an online bidding platform and engage in fierce competition. Featured truck drivers often hauled items many in the industry wouldn’t even consider, including unusual livestock and military tanks.
Shipping Wars reportedly regained its former popularity during the height of the pandemic when everyday people were scouring cable networks looking for distractions. The reality show re-runs offered an entertaining escape from the uncertainty and audiences found renewed interest in the 100 episodes. Two of the top-rated episodes include “Pain in the Caboose,” which aired in January 2012, and “Monkey Business,” which was shown in June 2011.
In “Pain in the Caboose,” Marc Springer lands a job hauling a 1928 train caboose, among other controversies. The plot of “Monkey Business” involves Jarrett Joyce booking a load of monkeys and Springer hauls a load for a Las Vegas magician and his patience goes “poof.”
Its initial run started in January 2012 and went off-air at the end of April 2015. Viewers were routinely entertained by the intrigue of truckers racing against seemingly impossible delivery deadlines and comical logistical hurdles. The cast included Marc Springer (The Big Rig) Jennifer Brennan (The Cowgirl), Jarrett Joyce (The Rookie), Dusty Davie (The Prodigy), Jessica Samko (The Road Warrior) Roy Garber (Jack of All Trades), Suzanne Bawcom, Todd and Tamera Sturgis (The Double Threat), as well as Christopher Hanna and Robbie Welsh. Roy Garber passed away during the first run of Shipping Wars and did not appear in several late episodes.
Truckers may want to plan off-duty hours to watch Shipping Wars on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 10/9c on A&E.

The new shipping wars looks like it will be OK but the fact that they’re not bidding on the loads is very disappointing there’s no drama in it they get so much money and then they’re gonna make money every time the fun was watching them bet on it and see how low they could go so you need to look back into that because so far it’s kind of boring

The new cast sucks!!! Where’s Jennifer, Mark, Jarrett & dusty? If it’s just the new cast I’m done. I hate when series changes everything up & switches the entire cast & I was looking forward to the new season. Thanks A&E

Well I looked forward eagerly for the series return and was I ever disappointed. To me some of the best parts of the show didn’t return. They don’t have the transporters competing for the loads, don’t have any of the commentary against each other, the rips, burns and good humored insults like the past episodes. No one wants to see some person sitting in an office booking loads for them. They just have the drivers say what the load pays and an estimated cost of expenses. Listening to the drivers complaining about tarps slipping loose and flailing in the wind. Or a tire that has a slow seep. Uh, okay where’s the drama in that. I’m really hoping this is not what the show has become. Just like the return of storage wars where the chemistry is not there anymore. So far the first two episodes of shipping wars has not impressed, A&E your better than that. Bring back the old crew, the old way of filming. It’s a nickel holding up a dollar.

Are any of the cast members from the old shipping wars on the new episodes???
David says
Well I watch some more episodes of the new shipping wars if you don’t get a bidding against each other This show will be a waste Of time Of timeI just assume watch reruns of the old shipping wars bring the old characters back let them bid or take it off the air This is so disappointing so far
David says
The old characters used to carry on against each other and make the show enjoyable This bunch either screams and yells at each other or runs her mouth through the whole time of shipping it’s boring it’s not funny it’s not enjoyable
