Relay Payments, the digital payments leader in trucking and logistics, has expanded its platform to include truck service, repair, and maintenance payments. This strategic move offers over 400,000 drivers and 100,000 carriers a more comprehensive, secure way to manage over-the-road expenses. Through new partnerships with Southern Tire Mart at Pilot (STMP), Boss Truck Shops, and AMBEST Service Centers, fleets can now use Relay’s digital payment platform at hundreds of nationwide maintenance and repair locations.
The addition of these services complements Relay’s existing capabilities, which already support digital payments for fuel, lumpers, and weigh stations. Now, users can simplify their operations further by using the Relay app to pay for essential truck maintenance, tow services, and preventive care—all while accessing potential discounts through their carrier programs.
According to Jake England, Director of Boss Truck Shops, this update simplifies one of the most frustrating aspects of trucking: downtime due to maintenance. “We’re excited to provide Relay customers with industry-leading discounts and quick, quality service to get them back on the road,” he said.
Relay’s mobile app also enhances efficiency by helping drivers find nearby Service Centers along their routes, eliminating guesswork and improving scheduling. John Boynton, President of STMP, emphasized the value Relay brings: “Relay helps simplify service payments and combats fraud, offering our customers a more streamlined experience.”
AMBEST CEO Chuck Ryan added that partnering with Relay not only benefits drivers and fleets but also supports AMBEST Members by offering a more convenient and secure payment process, allowing drivers to complete service transactions more efficiently.
Relay’s CEO and co-founder, Ryan Droege, views this as a critical step in building an end-to-end payment network tailored for the unique needs of the trucking industry. “We’re reducing costs and creating more efficiencies by bringing all over-the-road expenses into one digital platform,” he said.
Since its launch in 2019, Relay Payments has transformed trucking payment methods by replacing outdated practices like cash and fleet checks. Relay is now accepted at 2,200+ truck stops and supports a growing ecosystem of partners including Pilot Company, Love’s, Schneider, and Coyote Logistics. The company continues to grow its influence by delivering time and cost savings for trucking operations across the country.
With this latest expansion, Relay Payments positions itself not only as a tech-forward fintech firm but also as a dependable infrastructure partner for the future of freight.
