The Truckload Carriers Association recently announced the 18 Division winners of the 47th Annual TCA Fleet Safety Awards competition. Joined by sponsors Great West Casualty Company, Detroit Assurance, and DriverReach, winners must demonstrate a commitment to safety excellence by delivering among the lowest accident frequency ratios per million miles in each of the competition’s six mileage-based divisions.
“TCA’s membership continues to prioritize safety and find new ways to improve and innovate,” Truckload Carriers Association President Jim Ward reportedly said. “We are extremely proud of these 18 companies for their stellar safety performances this past year, and we look forward to presenting them with these awards at our upcoming Annual Convention in March.”
To participate in the TCA Fleet Safety Awards, companies are required to be a member of the organization throughout the competition. Freight transportation operations can submit a single entry, reflecting aggregate mileage, or separate entries for each subsidiary/affiliate company, according to TCA. Trucking companies must operate in the truckload industry within the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Applications for the 47th annual event were submitted no later than Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022. Verification and auditing reportedly ran from Oct. 24 through Nov. 21.
