Typical lies from yet another trucking company. Imagine that. If you go home on weekends you make under 1k a week. If you stay out longer, you can make more but, you better have your lips in the proper position to do any good. Everyone there takes things personal and will treat you like a scorned ex. Subordinates are only allowed the thoughts of their bosses.

Pros

The women are less sensitive then the (and I use the term loosely) men that work there

Cons

Working with guys that stay on a permanent menstrual cycle.

I was a ctc student sent home because insurance wouldn't cover me I got a DUI 20years ago an open container 11 years ago. Don't be fooled by that within 10 years stuff.

Pros

Good training, good trucks.good pay good ppl.

Cons

Very hard to make it through training. If your not sure or determined you won't make it to getting a CDL.

Dispatchers have control, they determine how many miles you get. I you upset them. Well... just think about it. They also say home on weekends which mean home 34 hours. I left because I was lied to

Pros

you get paid well, if you get the miles. vehicles are good

Cons

again, Dispatchers have way to much power. they treat you like trash if you are not on their good side

Cypress truck lines training

Went through training with them and currently work here. You can stay or go home while in training. The accommodations are junk. Pretty much a closet with a bed and a desk. They don't pay for your meals or anything till you pass and go to orientation. Rick is the trainer there and he's pretty cool. He'll help you all he can but be forewarned if you just can't get the hang of it even after him helping as much as he can he will send you home. If you've done any drugs don't waste your time. They do hair follicle and they'll send you home and make sure you don't get a job driving a truck. I'm home Egbert weekend with no orblems. Miles are good haven't had any problems getting loads. Be prepared to haul a lot of Sheetrock. That's our main commodity we haul and also be prepared to deal with these tarps. They're heavy as hell because of the material they're made of and they're big because we sometimes haul tall loads that require tarps. You won't get a new truck till after at least a year of being with them. And by new I mean like 2010 and up trucks. The newest you'll get is 2007 and that's because they're paid for and if you should mess it up then it's not a big deal. Overall they're not bad but if you can go through a school and THEN come here I'd highly recommend it.

Cypress truck lines

Gotta say loving it. Flatbed is awesome I think. Mileage is pretty good average 500 a day. I get home weekends and possible 10 off at the house if the load goes by the house. Love the physical work as well.
